Mural Collage

This series of large scale mural collages were developed through the bursary 'Time for practice' offered by The Collection and Usher Gallery, with mentoring advice from Geoff Diego Litherland.

It was made in reaction to the smaller collages and the limitation imposed by printed media, and a desire to create big, bold artworks.

The process is similar to the smaller collages - building a bank of randomly cut pieces of coloured paper, I spontaneously create composition while maintaining acute attention to the balance between colours and shapes.

This choreography between chance and control enables me to create abstract artworks that reflect the beauty of the natural world.
